Hi all you lovely people...

Hope you all enjoying this Loooong weekend...At our place 3 days were divided amongst 3 of us. So Saturday was mine and obviously I chose 'Shopping' (which I should have chose today), Sunday was ZOO time for our little one and Today is my Hubby's day, which has started late by getting up at 9.45 AM, so you can guess how its going to progress....may be a beach or some drive...God alone knows...

Last week was good, I did buy some make-up, that I shared in a preview post. They look good to me, lets see...Nothing much to share except that this week is last of my son's school and that little monster is too excited for summer camps and summer fun, which makes me!! Ok, enough rambling....hungry stomachs are yelling and so much chaos....gtg...

have a good day...

'BEAUTY BUYS' is another term coined for the infamous 'HAUL'. Its just the
list of things I buy and the ones you will hear me 'yak', 'blab', 'review'
about in next few posts!!! Call this a 'Preview'...

Nothing makes me Happy like Shopping does...Seriously, Malls are the most amazing 'Wonders of the World'

I did get a chance to see the new MAC Collection 'To the Beach' and Obviously, I didn't get to see Marine Life in person, because it was Sold-out!!! I didn't even bother to swatch anything in the store, as I had forgot to take my camera, so no swatches too. The only thing that I was tempted to buy from this new collection was that flat topped brush 130 I believe, but then thought its better to wait till it hits CCO!
I did end up getting 2 things.

Goodies I picked from MAC:

1. Grease paint stick in 'DIRTY' (Collection that was released in the last century)
2. Eyeshadow in 'RETROSPECK' as B2M (Xinarox has been telling me to get this since ages!!)

From Sephora I did pick a few stuff and I SUCK because I didn't buy any makeup during the Sephora sale and today ended up hauling at full price...Such a LOSER!!!

Goodies I picked from Sephora:

I will review and swatch things when I have used them enough, but as of now, I am pretty happy with my purchase, so excited to try everything!!!!

Hope you guys are enjoying this long, lovely weekend...:)

PIGMENT PASSION is a series that will feature MAC Pigments, their texture, the
ways I use them and all the fun stuff. One pigment will be posted every
Friday and I will try to share whatever pigment colors I own.

Vanilla Pigment (with bright flash)

This is one of the most loved pigment by 'Pigment Lovers'. They say, its a 'must-have'. Lets see how....

The color of the pigmnet though appears white, it technically not white. It has Gold shimmers in it and that Gold is not a Yellow Gold, its a Peachy Gold. This shimmers are finely milled and that makes this pigment very easy to work with.

Vanilla Pigment (muted flash light)

This pigment is not frosty, which makes it more wearable and would work for many people with different skin tones and age groups. Its always flattering to wear something that has a glowy sheen, rather than frosty shimmer.

Swatch of Vanilla Pigment

The swatch above shows a lovely goldeny highlight. Its pretty!

Ways I use Vanilla Pigment:

1. Mix in my regular body lotion, to make a shimmery, body lotion. I like it to use this way, especially in spring and summer. When the sunlight hits my hands and legs, I like the sheen that the lotion gives.

2. Mix just the tiniest amount in my face moisturizer and apply it all over the face. It gives the same effect that MAC Strobe Liquid Lotion gives, or for that matter any shimmery lotion would give. It reflects light beautifully. The best thing is I can control the amount of shimmer I need.

3. As a cheek-bone Highlighter. It gives a nice sheen, but is messy and difficult to use. Messy because its loose powder and difficult because I am unable to get equal amount of product in each dab. Also if I need to use a fan brush, there is no room in the cap to 'smoosh' in the product.
This might leave a Whitish cast if over applied, but I don't think anyone will over apply. It gives sheen with very less application, as its pretty concentrated and potent.

4. As inner corner highlight. I like the over all effect it gives, when applied to inner corners.

5. On the brow bone as highlighter. I don't use this often though. This is pretty close to Solar -white eyeshadow and I love to use that just because its easy to use.

Ways this pigment can be used, but I don't use:

1. Mixing with foundation to get a glowy look. I tried and it didn't work for me.

2. On hair, with hair spray. I never tried this.

3. On nails, by mixing with clear nail polish. Never tried with this color.

4. On centre of the lips, to give it a plumping effect, by mixing it with clear nail polish. It works, but I am too lazy to do this procedure.

Its a great multi- tasking product and the color Vanilla is very Versatile. I can understand why it becomes must have for many people. If you are a make-up artist, this is DEFINATELY a 'MUST - HAVE'.
Even though I have a cheek Highlighter and a brow Highlighter and shimmery lotion, I still keep a small sample jar of Vanilla pigment when I travel. It comes handy many times and you can even use fingers if necessary to apply this.

Please let me know if you know any other ways to use this particular pigment. Its wonderful to know how much more you can do with a product!

NARS - LUSTER BLUSH (Review/Swatch)

This is a FANTASTIC color!!!
NARS Luster is a Peachy, Brown, Apricot Goldeny color. These color descriptions from me are pretty dumb! I just describe what I see. As per the website, the color is Sheer Golden Apricot.

Close -up of NARS Blush in LUSTER (Different Light set up)

It has subtle shimmer, which gives a gorgeous sheen without being OTT. The pigmentation is nice and the color is sheer and buildable. I personally like to use a Blush brush, like MAC 129, and buff it to give a well blended look. I don’t like to use any kind of skunk brush for this color. Its sheer, unlike NARS Desire, which NEEDS to be used sparingly. I find a blush brush helps to deposit good amount of Luster color and helps it to blend like a dream.

Comparison of NARS Luster and MAC Trace Gold

I am NC40/42 and it just incorporates a peachy/apricot color. Its not pink for sure. There is some hint of brown in the blush and its well balanced brown, so it would not give that ‘sun-burnt’ look.
It can also be used as a highlighter over matte, warm blushes from same color Family.

Swatches of MAC Trace Gold, NARS Luster and MSF Duo (Medium Dark)

It’s a perfect blush for summer. It compliments my warm/Olive skintone so well!! At times I can get away without using any bronzer as this gives color and that contoured effect aswell. I don’t know how peach or brown it would turn on very pale skin tones, but I see this working for wide range of skin tones and various age groups. It is a lovely color and can be worn to work aswell.

The packaging is usual NARS Black, rubbery casing with a mirror. Like every NARS blush, it lasts for decently long time.

Swatches of MAC Trace Gold, NARS Luster and MSF Duo (Medium Dark)

I just love this color to bits…
Believe me, this Blush is as AWESOME…not PAINFULLY BORING like this review.

I personally feel as a collector, make-up lover and Beauty Blogger, I need to keep buying and trying new products, but as a consumer, I feel I have found some really good colors for myself, that make me look pretty and presentable. I don’t need anymore. Every single of my Fav Blushes from Deep Throat, Nuance, Luster, Rome, Desire etc exist in the permanent line from their respective brands. Its worth saving and investing in a color that flatters you most rather than accumulating colors that are just ’hyped’ and ’mediocre’.

Warm Soul is another color that looks absolutely promising and that’s on my list next…………
Disclaimer: This is not a paid or sponsered Review. Its my personal experience with the product and my honest opinion.

MAC - TRACE GOLD BLUSH (Swatch/Review)

A self proclaimed GOLD SUCKER…I could not believe my blog did not had an exclusive post on Trace Gold!!!

MAC Trace Gold Blush

This is a sheer tone shimmer blush. It has all the qualities that I was expecting in a highlighter with Gold tones. I personally don’t like this as a blush on myself. It is pretty sheer on me, and when I try to build the color, the cheeks end up looking bronzy and the shimmer level increases. This kind of ‘Bronzy look’ looks pretty, but something that I won’t wear everyday. It’s a summer blush and all year Highlighter for warm toned coral, orange, apricot blushes.

Comparison between NARS Luster, MAC Trace Gold, MSF Duo Medium Dark

This is my second favorite GOLD Highlighter, first being that shimmer side of the MSF duo which was limited edition. They are pretty close, though the shimmer side has less bronzy tones and they have different texture aswell.

Swatches of NARS Luster, MAC Trace Gold, MSF Duo Medium Dark (shimmer side)

This looks pretty close to Otherwordly, which was limited edition, but this one is more wearable as the former one is more Metallic. I like the fact that Trace Gold has more Gold and less Brown/Bronze, which makes it a lovely Golden Highlight for skin tones like mine….but again, its not the best Color as Blush for me…

Disclaimer: I have purchased this Product and these are my personal experience.

These are 3 Funky, Orange Packaging MAC gave us in past 2-3 years. Do you like Orange colored tube? Do you find it FUN or do you find it TACKY?
Choose in your Favorite ORANGE......

NEO-SCI-FI is my favorite. Its shiny, little tacky and pure, plain juicy Orange Color!!

This is just a Random, Fun Post.....

p.s: This is not my picture. If you read Specktra (which I know you all) you must be familiar with the name Sussane. She is a moderator on Spectra, an ardent make-up lover and very active on forums. She posted this picture in the swatches section.

Hi friends...

I begin with Good Morning wish and an apology, for not updating my blog last week and MIA. I know, Nobody is waiting for some amazing, sneak peak from my blog, but still I respect my 252 Followers aka Friends who share same interest as me (make-up) and deserve an explaination.
I was just feeling tired and lazy. I just didn't had the inclination to do anything...Seriously!

Ok, so I have been lemming over those Lisa Taubes Chains, that is hugely popular on You Tube. They are pretty, wearable link chains, both in Gold and Silver. I like them a lot, but I just can't justify the price tag of around $135 for a single chain. Also its light weight, 12K or 14K Gold or Gold plated (not 100% sure) which makes is almost nil in resale value and zero investment as a jewelry. I am pretty confused............ I need to get some replicas...Any suggestions??

To the Beach collection is boring... MUFE HD blush is not working for me and I am low on Cash for any 'fun' purchases....I told ya, I am so Bored in General...

Hope you guys have a nice, creative, and happy week ahead....I will try to do something and get back on track....

PIGMENT PASSION is a series that will feature MAC Pigments, their texture, the
ways I use them and all the fun stuff. One pigment will be posted everyFridayand
I will try to share whatever pigment colors I own.

This is a Limited Edition pigment and I got it from my local CCO, simply because I couldn't resist anything that is Gold...GOLD SUCKER!!!
At first glance it looks pretty similar to Blonde's Gold Pigment that we talked about few weeks ago. They do look similar to a certain extent, but I would say, they are not same. Everything from the color to the texture varies.

MAC - GOLD MODE PIGMENT (with flash)

MAC - GOLD MODE PIGMENT (without flash)

Gold mode is way more shimmery than Blonde's Gold. The later one is very finely milled, one of the best textures after metal pigments. Its super soft and very easy to work. Gold mode on other hand has a bit of fall out. Its not difficult like many other chunkier pigmnets, but not amazing either.

Swatch of MAC Gold Mode Pigment

Gold Mode has Pink and Peachy hues to it, while Blonde's Gold has beige/tan/brown thing going around. I do notice the difference on my lids. Sometimes minor diferences in color are not noticeable when actually used on eye, but this one looks different.

Comparison Swatch between Gold Mode and Blonde's Gold MAC Pigment

Ways I Use Gold Mode Pigment:

1. Inner corner of the eye around the tearduct area, just to give the eyes an open and wide awake effect. I have a tiny cute little brush to do that task.

2. I use it wet, over the lid all by itself and then just a liner and mascara to complete the look. I like the foiled effect this color gives.

3. I also like to use it over a dark shadow base. Like Quite Natural Paint pot, Indianwood paint pot, Relaxed Shadesticks or those colored Shadesticks that I have. You can see the shadestick swatches here if you wish.

4. I never use it as highlight as I find it too shimmery to use as Brow Highlight, obviously personal preference, but it definately can be used.

5. Love to pair it with Bronze, Tempting kind of shades aswell, but not often. I really don't mess a lot with 'blending' to much when I am using pigments. You Tube has amazing tutorials using Gold Mode Pigment, in case anyone wants to see.

6. Have yet to try this with clear nail polish, though I have tried some fun colored pigment.

I would say its not a 'must have' kind of shade. Also if you are not a shimmer lover, you might want to skip this, as it has Micro-glitters. I am not a fan of shimmer myself, but something about the peachy, champagney Gold color just attracts me. At CCO it costed less than an eyeshadow, so I thought why not?

p.s: I totally understand its useless to talk about Limited Edition products, but with pigments, you can get samples on many many sites for $3 to $4. So if you like anything thats Limited Edition, you can still get hold of it...

MAC - PINK EYESHADOWS (Swatches/Reveiw)

In this post I share a few on my MAC Pink Eyeshadows. I don't have very many MAC Pink shadows for 3 reasons.

1. I don't wear Pink often on eyes.
2. I have some pinks from Urban Decay and Stila in their pre-made palettes.
3. If I ever need to use a certain Pink, Peachy Pink shade on eye, I end up using any of my Blushes!!

Two of these are Limited Edition and rest are permanent.

MAC Eyeshdows in Sunset B, Expensive Pink, Neutral Pink, Haux, Pink Venus

Sunset B (LE): This color is a Starflash finish. Its one of the most pigmented Pinks I have. The texture is smooth, but not my favorite. Its a little on powdery side, not much though. Its medium pink shade, not OTT frosty or anything like that. Its decently pigmented. I have not used it much, but whatever little it has been used, its always either with a grey or a purple. I have even used it with neutral colors like Naked Lunch and Femme-Fi, but definately not used often.

Expensive Pink: This is a permanent shade and is a Veluxe Pearl finish, which makes it decently pigmented and easy to work with. I would have placed it on my peachy- orangey palette, but as the name said Pink, I placed it next to pink colors. The color itself is a duochrome kind. It looks orange, peach, gold, rose, pink all rolled in one. It is warm shade and can be paired with many many colors. The possibilities are endless. You Tube has many tutorials using this color and so do many blogs. Its a lovely color and the end result is Expensive and Chic...

Neutral Pink (LE): This is just like its name. A neutral color with some Pinks in it. This is definately on cooler side, but wearable. It is a muted rosey kind of color with some grey/mauve tones...I find it difficult to describe. Its a satin finish, so its not flat matte nor its shimmerly like a frost. I wear it with greys and purples. This is definately a Unique pink I have seen though its not the most pigmented one. I got mine at CCO...At $10.25, it didn't hurt!

Swatches of MAC Eyeshdows in Sunset B, Expensive Pink, Neutral Pink, Haux,
Pink Venus

Pink Venus: This is a permanent shade, its a lustre and I hate lustres....I said it all in one breath. The color is pretty. Its a girly pink, with blue undertones and some kind of silvery shimmers. It honestly is not as bad as some of the lustres. The color pay off if not so great. I got mine in FAFI quad 1. I wear it along with other colors in the quad. Thats the beauty of pre-made palettes...I don't have to use my Brains.

Haux: This is a permanent shade and is a Satin finish. Now, its a rosey, mauvey Brown color. Technically its not a pink, but it didn't fit in my Brown palette, it didn't fit in my Purple palette. It lives next to Neutral Pink, so I call it a Pink. I mostly use this color as a blending color, just to transition my pinks into purples or greys. I have never used it as a lid color on its own.

These are a few Pinks I have. In my palette, the pinks gradually end in Purples with Pink tones like Plum dressing and Stars and Rockets. Stila Precious pearl palette has 2 pinks which are very pretty. One is a baby Pink color and other is a warm coral pink. Urban Decay palette has a Hot pink, magenta kind of color and then I have some Fuschia Pigment and Pink Bronze pigment.
For someone like me, who rarely wears pink, I think all this is more than enough...

Hope you all enjoy this post and leave in some suggestions for warm or wearable pinks.

Hello my Friends...

Hope you all had a lovely weekend...Mine was Fantastic and tiring by the end...

I had been on a mini vacation to Shenandoah Valley and Luray Caves in Virginia. As the season had not officially started, it was least crowded and Beautiful! We stayed at these cabins across the meadows and our balcony had the view of lush valleys and Serene atmosphere.
We did some hiking on the trails, not very strenous ones though.
My favorite part of the trip was lots of Deers at the meadows admist clouds, that alomost touched the grounds during the dawn....

As much as I enjoyed the trip, I did miss internet a bit. I purposely kept myself away from make-up, blog, twitter and other stuff...As I write this, I have loads of laundry to do, food bags to empty and Soveniers to admire.

On make-up front, not so excited for the new Beach collection. I was pretty happy when I saw the promos, but not so much now. I have no idea what I will be posting this week, but I will be around...

Wishing you all a lovely, easy and fruitful week ahead..

p.s: Maryland Traffic and I-95 N sucks!!!! We were stuck in it Forever Yesterday Evening...

I don’t know where to find this product. I don’t see this on Sephora website nor do I see it on Benefit’ website.
Its strange because the product is pretty cool obviously with few flaws. It is a part of the kit.
Anyways, over to the pencil and my thoughts on this product..

The Color

This one is a liner/highlighter (I assume, because it never says anything), which is peachy gold color, like melon pigment in cream form. It has this very creamy consistency like NYX Jumbo Pencils. The color has this amazing sheen to it, which tempted me to use it as cream eyeshadow, but boy, it creased like crazy! That’s not a con, because this is not what Gilded is suppose to do. It is not supposed to be used as a cream eyeshadow, it is supposed to be used as a highlighter…so me using it in a wrong way then saying its not cool is not fair at all.
For the longest time, I kept calling this Glided and not Gilded....????

Swatches of Benefit Gilded, MAC Melon Pigment, MAC Rubensque Paint Pot

Under my brows I used a tiny bit and blended with my finger. It gave a lovely sheen and goldeny highlight, which is very classy. Its not glittery at all, nor overly frosty, but imparts a lovely sheen. I also used it as a cheek highlighter when I applied my MAC Optimistic Orange cream blush and let me tell you..I looked gorgeous…lol!! It was a little difficult to blend, but I would be using it with certain colors occasionally, so that’s ok.
It’s the color of the product which is warm and goldeny , a color that works beautifully on skin tones like mine. I am NC40, olive skin toned person with heavy yellow undertones. It looked cool in the inner corner of the eyes. It just brightened the whole eye not in a crazy shimmery way, but in a nice way. It stays on the water line and really makes the eyes look wide and open..I believe this is what its meant to do in first place.
This came in a kit which is called "Legally Bronze" by Benefit and its perfect because the whole kit will help you achieve that JLO look…seriously!!!

Swatches in different lighting

What I didn’t like was the fact that I have to sharp it and I find that a pain with any cream pencils, because tons of product is wasted and then later on cleaning the sharpner is a pain in…..

While I was searching where to find the product on net I found a post by Karen of makeupandbeautyblog. Apparently some makeup artist from Benefit told her to use Gilded under red lipsticks and lipgloss for that extra warm, shimmery color….and yes, it does works!!! I tried using it both under and above red lipsticks/lipgloss…wine lipstick and even deep dark chocolate colored lipstick.
It worked really beautiful. This literally opened new ideas for me. The results were awesome!!!

p.s: If you wonder I use 'sheen', 'lovely' 'amazing' and similar words in most of my posts, its because I am not a professional writer and I know only these words to express.....

Disclaimer: This is not a paid or sponsered reveiw. The thoughts are my own.

PIGMENT PASSION is a series that will feature MAC Pigments, their
texture, theways I use them and all the fun stuff. One pigment will be posted
everyFridayand I will try to share whatever pigment colors I own.

I hate to talk more about Limited Edition products, simply because they are hard to find and talking more would increase the lemming for anyone who does not has it. BUT as far as pigments are concerned, samples are sold on various websites and pigments last for long time, so getting hold of sample should be enough.

Sweet Sienna is a lovely grey color, with silver and gold specks. It has no blue undertones and does not looks too silvery. Many say its a taupey brown color, but I think its more like a gunmetal grey. I don't see any brown in it. This does not makes my eyes look bruised, so I personally prefer NOT calling it a taupe.

Its has a decent warmth to it, which makes it wearable for many people, with varied skintones. The texture is smooth, not as smooth as Overrich pigments though. It hardly has any fallouts, which is great. The color in the jar is very intense deep and dark.

Ways I use MAC's Sweet Sienna Pigment

1. All over the lid, by itself with some neutral base underneath. At times I also wear it over Skinny Jeans by Benefit, along with liner and Mascara.

2. All over the lid, chocolate brown shade of eyeshadow or pigment on crease and some highlighter.

3. Inner half of lid Silver Ring eyeshadow, Outer half of lid Sweet Sienna Pigment and Sketch eyeshadow to darken the crease and on crease. This look is loosely inspired by a look that You Tube Guru Julieg713 did long back. I did get inspired to hunt for the whole jar of this pigment after seeing this video!

This is a very lovely grey and if you get hold of a sample, do try! Also suggest some lovely combinations if you know using this pigment.

OLAY - Regenerist Detoxifying Pore Scrub (Review)

OLAY - Regenerist Detoxifying Pore Scrub

Detoxifies skin to the pore for a beautifully regenerated appearance.
Deep cleans down to the pores to purify your skin's appearance.
Amino-peptide cleansing complex minimizes the appearance of pores for beautifully, regenerated looking skin.
Derma-smoothers exfoliate to polish away dull skin.
How I used it:

Once a day (AM)
Duration: 6 weeks

I got this Scrub about two months ago and have been using it since then almost everyday, not as a scrub, but mostly as cleanser. This is meant to be a scrub, but I would prefer calling it a gel cleaner with exfoliating micro beads.

The product itself is a runny, transparent gel, with some kind of orange micro beads in it. The beads are sparse and not dense. They don't exfoliate at all. Those beads are not grainy enough nor the product is thick or dense to hold it on face. It foams well and cleans the skin like any other cleanser would do. It removes oil and is not drying. The skin feels clean for sure. It did make the skin surface smooth, which is something I like. I don't have too large pores, so I couldn't notice much of a difference there.

My personal expectation from a scrub is to get a scrubbing effect, which means it should help me to get rid of some dead cells and clean my pores. This unfortunately does not gives me that 'scrubbed' effect.

The scent is not annoying and is bearable. Even though it does not leaves the skin dry, I would not use it during winter, because it I am positive it will leave my skin with that 'stretchy' feeling.
The quantity and the price ratio is good. You get a lot of product for the price you pay.

I would say its a good cleanser, but not a good Scrub. Sorry, not impressed!

Disclaimer: These are my personal experience and thoughts about the product. Things that work for me may not work for you and vice-versa. Every skin is different.

MAC - Grey/Silver Eyeshadows (Review/Swatches)

In the past I had posted a similar kind of MAC Highlighter and Lid Color Post (Click here). You guys had liked it and few of them said they would like to see some more similar kind of post.

So here are a few MAC Grey/Silver color eyeshadows that I own.

Few of these are from Permanent collection and some are Limited Edition ones.

MAC Eyeshadows in Silverthorn, Silver Ring, Smoke and Diamonds,
Knight Divine, Print, Typographic

Silverthorn (LE): This is a Limited Edition Eyeshadow and is a Veluxe Pearl finish. Its a 'cool' toned grey and has some bluish undertones to it. This one looks very silvery with a hint of blue on me. Infact, I use this color in place of any silver eyeshadow. As I am a warm toned person, frosty, Silvery color like MAC Electra does not looks very flattering on me. I like to pair this with Purple and Pink looks. I rarely wear pink e/s, so I would say more of purple looks. I use it in the inner corner of the eye or the inner 1/3 of my eye lid. This is not used often, but definately needed as most of my inner corner or highlight colors have Golden hues in them.

Silver Ring: This is a permanent MAC shadow and is a Frost Finish. This is a greyish silver color, with more grey and less silver. This too has some Bluish hue to it. I like to use this as a lid color, for smokey looks. It looks pretty with a Greyish base underneath like Skinny jeans by Benefit, which is a creaseless cream shadow. Even though its a frost, its not OTT frosty and its easy to work with.

Smoke n Diamonds (LE): This is a LE color and is a Starflash Finish. Its a unique color for sure. MAC does not has anything in permanent line like this one, though Stila has this color called Diamond which is very close to this one. I have never got a chance to compare them side by side, but in store the Stila one reminds me of Smokes and Diamonds. I remember people paying crazy price for this shadow as it as an instant sell out and hard to find shade. It was re-promoted last year again. The color is pewter grey, with no blue hue in it. Its a lovely color. I like the fact that there is no blue tone to it. Its a Starflash finish, but does not behaves like one. Its a bit powdery.

Swatches of MAC Eyeshadows in MAC Eyeshadows in Silverthorn, Silver Ring,
Smoke and Diamonds, Knight Divine, Print, Typographic

Knight Divine: This is a permanent color. This is a Veluxe Pearl finish and MAC describes it as Black with Silver Pearl. I prefer to call it Charcoal grey with blue tones. This one is a wearable shade of grey and I use it often for an easy smokey look with Carbon. I like using is over some kind of blackish, dark base or else it can sometimes look blue if worn all by itself. Its not overly shimmery, which is great! This one can be difficult to blend at times.

Print: Another of MAC's permanent shadow. This one is a Satin finish and MAC describes it as muted Grey with Silver Shimmers. I personally don't see any shimmers when its on my lids. I love the fact that it has no funny Blue tones to it. This is one of my favorites. I love to use it over my eyeliners.

Typographic: This is a matte square finish. Its technically black, but not as black as Carbon. Its described as Asphalt Black by the website. I definately see grey in it. It is a fantastic shade IMO. Its great for days when Black is to harsh. Its a dream to blend. MAC should have more colors in this finish.

MAC Eyeshadows in Vex, Howzzat, Copperplate

Vex: I hate this color. Rather I should say, I don't know what to do with it. Don't be decieved by the swatch that I have. In reality its a duochrome, a beige color with pink green color. It looks grey to me. Grey with some funky green n pink going on. Its a frost finish and I seriously don't know what to do with it or how to pair it.

Howzzat (LE): This was in my Fafi Quad 1. Its dead similar to Knight Divine. If you have missed on this quad, just make one at home! Naked Lunch, Knight Divine, Pink Venus and Vanilla gives you a Fafi Quad 1, minus the stupid quad, that had paper sticker of Fafi..Crap!!

Copperplate: This is a matte square finish too. Its a muted mid-tone grey as per the website. Its a unique, different color, with lovely finish. I love matte squares..they give you the benefits of matte, without the pain of matte finish. I have picked this one recently, didn't get a chance to play much though.

Royal Assets palette in Smokey Eyes

I have this Palette from some Holiday collection. I believe it was a Smokey eye palette in 2007. I am not 100% sure. I got this one from a CCO simply because it had a Gorgeous Packing. Have never touched it ever...Never plan to touch either. I plan to sell it on E-Bay and become!!!

These are some of the Grey and Silverish greys that I own. Greys either turn blue or they look silver. Suggestions for unique and amazing greys always welcome...oh, I have Sweet Sienna Pigment, which is one of the best GREYS mever made...

Hi Friends...

It seems I am writing this Monday Morning post every other day...The weeks are passing by so fast!!! If anyone wondering why do I write Monday Morning..... I would say, its just a little summary of what I did, what is coming next and some little ramble...Nothing exciting, actually nothing exciting happens in my life!!!

Ok, so yesterday I had fun cooking and working for my family...The mother's day mushy stuff lasted for 15 minutes and then my son went out to play and I was back to being mommy and doing regular chores. We did had a little outing in the evening... My mother's day gift is not hard to guess...Yes, some more silver charms to add to my braclet...

This week I will be going to Luray Caves and Shenandoah National Park in Virginia for a little relaxed weekend... I hope it to be fun... I am not a hiking person, but I will walk...

Beauty Obsessions - April 2010

BEAUTY OBSESSIONS is just a fancier name for monthly favorites kind ofposts. I
directly lifted this name from a You Tube Guru DRBrooklyn. Every monthit will
feature a list of make-up, clothes, jewelry, fragrance etc which I usedmore than
the other stuff I have. Things with which I was a little tooo obsessedthe whole

1. Tarina Tarantino Blush in Charm (Review)
2. Tarina Tarantino Lipstick in Cameo (Review)
3. Chanel Kasaka Beige Quad (Review)
4. Benefit Creaseless Creme Shadow in Marry Up
5. Urban Decay Primer Potion (Review)

Usually when I buy something new, I just start wearing that a little more than other stuff that I already have. So when I hauled for Tarina Tarantino stuff and Chanel goodies, I just randomly created a look in my mind and laid out the products and cliked this picture. I would have normally not cliked the picture, but the blogger in me did.

I wore the above combination of eyes, lips and cheek for the initial part of the month, but then as days passed by, I was not loyal to all of these.

Benefit Creaseless creme shadow in Marry Up is a very beautiful rose gold kind of color. It looks fantastic all on its own and beneath Kasaka Beige quad, it just made the colors more vibrant and lovely. I have reviews for every other product mentioned above.

1. Bare Escentuals Buxom Lipstick in Amsterdam
2. Tarina Tarantino Lipstick in Cameo
3. Bare Escentuals lipgloss in Zena

I used the Bare Escentual lipstick/lipliner and Lipgloss in conjugation with the Cameo Lipstick, as the lipstick alone is pretty sheer.

Swatches of Lip products : Amsterdam, Zena and Cameo

The result of the combination is the lip color below. Is it nice?

1. MAC Blush in Fun and Games (Limited Edition)
2. Benefit One Hot Minute
3. MAC 165 Brush (Review)
4. MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC 42
After almost half the month, except for 165 Brush, which I almost used consistently with the highlighters and LOVED it...nothing else was absolute favorite. I was not loyal to anyone color or cosmetic product.

1. Neutrogena Sunscreen SPF 45
2. Olay Complete SPF 15
3. Stila Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15
4. MAC Prep+ Prime
5. Clinique Even Better Skintone Corrector
6. Philosophy Hope In A Jar
7. MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner

My skin care stuff were pretty much the same. The new addition to the routine were Philosophy Hope In A Jar and Clinique Even Better Skintone corrector. They are doing good for my skin. I would review them by the end of this month.

I am absolutely loving the Tinted Lip conditioner by MAC. The fact that its in a tube/lipstick form is amazing. Its one wonderful product that I absolutely adore and have been using since I bought it from my CCO during mid April.

1. Bath and Body Works White Citrus
2. Davidoff Cool Water EDP
3. Maybelline Color Sensational Lipsticks (Review)

White Citrus is a very fresh Citrus scent. Its not long lasting, but its cheap and I don't mind sparying it a gazillion time. I have a roll-on of same scent.
Davidoff Coll Waters is my all time favorite summer/hot weather scent. I have gone through so many of these. Can never go wrong!!

Maybelline lipsticks were pretty much used since they were bought. Nice, wearable colors.

Nails are specially taken care of in summers. I have been liking Mint Mojito by Orly a lot. It was a color released last summer. I am not so updated with the nail polish collections. Nail Envy Strengthening one by O.P.I is working good and I use it as my base coat. Seche Vite is the best thing made for nail everrr...

Above are a few accessories I wore often, this month. I did wear many others, but these were kept outside in one candy dish and I ended up being lazy and wearing these most of the time.

I hope you read this Long post till the end... If you enjoyed it, fine..if not...thats fine too...The month has passed off either ways...
