Marc Jacobs Beauty Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer

Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer is a skin-smoothing, makeup-extending primer. With its hydrating, nutrient-rich formula, it is especially ideal for normal to dry skin types to create a smooth and improved skin surface before applying foundation. It helps to nourish and hydrate the complexion.

It is formulated without Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates

The five most essential coconut ingredients help prime and smooth skin:

Coconut fruit: features skin-boosting vitamins and antioxidants.
Coconut water: features nutrients for hydration and smoothing.
Coconut milk: helps prime and smooth the complexion and blur imperfections.
Coconut polysaccharides: help prime the complexion.
Coconut extract: provides a natural coconut fragrance.

Color: White

Texture and Consistency: Thin, light weight, non sticky, non greasy, non slippery fluid

Scent: Coconut'y'

Application: I use one full pump of product and using my finger tips, just apply it like lotion. I let it set for few minutes before moving on with makeup application.

Feel and Effect on the skin: The primer has a milky lotion like thin consistency, so it spreads easily. The product feels tacky on the skin for initial few minutes, but later sinks in and sets beautifully to form a smooth base for makeup application. It is a silicon free primer, so there is no slippery feeling. It is a hydrating primer, which pretty much means it will take care of dry patches if any, leaving behind a smooth, soft and well moisturized skin. I did not notice any pore filling.

Packaging: Beautiful stunning packaging. All Marc Jacobs Beauty products has really chic packaging. This comes in a glass bottle, with a pump dispenser. It dispenses adequate amount of product every use.

1. Too Faced Hangover Primer 2. Marc Jacobs Beauty Coconut Primer

Comparison to the Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer: This has been compared to the Too Faced Hangover Primer (review) and I have used both. I find this one more light weight and thin in consistency. It  is also less oily/greasy than the Too Faced one. The later one was not too greasy to begin with, but this one is even less.

Verdict: There are so many different types of primers these days. From pore filling to mattifying to color correcting and radiance, there is a primer for every skin type and skin need. This Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Primer is a hydrating primer and I have dry skin. So right from the start I knew this would work. Now, when we talk primer, smooth and easy application as well as longevity of makeup is what is expected, no matter what type of primer is used. This one hydrated and moisturized the skin well and it was easy to layer on products on top of it. I did not notice my makeup lasting any longer than it usually does when I apply other products like the Charlotte Tilbury Magic cream or Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base. The makeup did not slip or slide nor did this made my face any greasy. I like this primer and as a hydrating one, I have no complains.

Few other primers and base products I have used
