I picked this product to use as a primer around the time when Chicago weather was transitioning from harsh cold winters to cooler spring. My skin being dry was acting really funny with dry patches popping up here and there, making it difficult to apply makeup.

I love my face oils and honestly when I use them religiously overnight, I don't get these dry patches. But being a blogger, I just love to try out new products and somehow those new products were not giving me enough hydration.
The ingredients of hangover primer looked pretty promising. It said Silicone free and we all know that Dimethicone or Silicones are the active ingredients in any product that promises silky, smooth appearance, be it a hair or a skin product.
Color: White
Texture: Light weight, neither too thick nor too runny, creamy lotion
Scent: It smells of coconut and the scent lingers on face for some time. I am OK with the scent but I don't adore it.
Application: I apply it using my fingers. Just a little dime size product is all I need to cover my whole face. I have dry skin so I need this quantity. The product is light weight, so it spreads very easily and is absorbed pretty quickly. There is no pilling of the product.
Feel and Effect on Skin: There is slight tackiness or greasy look for few seconds and then it dries down. The skin feels very soft, hydrated and moisturized. It does not makes the fine lines or pores disappear like the silicone based primer. It makes the facial skin look really plump, healthy and hydrated.
I didn't notice any difference while applying my foundation nor did it increase the staying power of my make up. It did made my makeup go even because the dry patches were not dry anymore, all thanks to the extra dose of hydration.
Packaging: It comes in a soft squeeze tube, with a pump and lid. The pump dispenses adequate amount of product. There is not way to see how much product is left. Once the pump stops squirting product, it is done. In my experience with this kind of packaging, usually lots of product just sticks around the walls of the tube. I am a cheapo or rather I avoid wastage when it comes to product. I cut open the tube and try to use it till the last drop.
Verdict: I love how the product makes my skin more hydrated, soft and supple. Primer technically means a product that preps and primes skin for applying make up, but majority of the primers available are silicone based and so 'pore filling' and 'fine line reducing' is something that is expected of any primer. Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer is actually a product that will prime the face by providing extra hydration.
Some people might find this as a glorified moisturizer and a hydrating product and so may find the product marketed as primer little misleading. (I hope I am making sense).
The product is a very good one for people with dry skin. If coconut smell is something that bothers you, then this might not work, because the product does has some scent to it. People with oily skin may find it a bit greasy, though it dries down after few seconds. I am dry skin person, so I cannot comment much on this issue.
I personally love this product as it primes my dry skin beautifully by hydrating it. Also it can be used all on its own when the skin feels stretchy and dry. I do find it a little pricey for the size of tube. This is another good product from Too Faced and pretty close to my favorites like Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer, Cargo HD Mattifier, Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch
All these products prime my face differently, but they all do a fantastic job.
Over all a thumbs up!
