CAUDALIE Vinosource S.O.S Intense Moisturizing Cream

Caudalie is a French, clean skincare brand and I have had amazing success with their Vinoperfect line of products that are specifically designed for Boosting Radiance and fixing uneven skintone. Their Vinosource line which is specially designed to hydrate the skin and calm redness and irritated, sensitive skin and Caudalie gifted me two of their products from this line to try. Vinosource S.O.S Thirst-Quenching Serum and Vinosource S.O.S Intense Moisturizing Cream

An intense moisturizing cream with antioxidant-rich grapes to thoroughly hydrate even the most sensitive skin. This silky cream is the ultimate dry skin savior. It delivers intense hydration, calms redness, and repairs dry skin.

Color, texture, Consistency
White, soft, smooth thick cream that is dense and super emollient. It is a rich cream!

Scent
The cream has a lovely light refreshing scent, that is not overwhelming or over powering. The subtle plant-based fragrance, combines green notes of bergamot, mandarin, lemon tree leaves, cucumber and fresh mint. Again, fragrances are very personal. While some people totally dislike fragrance in their skincare, I am not bothered by them, until and unless that scent is too weird, pungent or stale

Application
I use a generous scoop with the tiny applicators that come with these creams. Dot it all over and massage it lightly on the skin until it is absorbed completely. I use it after following basic skincare steps like cleansing, toning with CAUDALIE Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Essence and over Vinosource S.O.S Thirst-Quenching Serum.

Feel and Effect on the skin
Even though the cream is thick, it spreads easily and evenly. Not every last bit of the cream is absorbed by the skin and there is a some percentage of product that sits on the top like a residue. A greasy residue and even though that sounds a little gross, it actually is not that bad. My dry skin appreciates a good moisturizing and hydrating cream. The purpose of hydration is to bind water into the skin and the purpose of moisturizing is to prevent that hydration/water from leaving the skin. This cream does exactly that along with repairing. I realized how amazingly it worked on my skin sensitivity and redness when I incorporated a new AHA Intensive Peel in my routine. Over exfoliation is such a culprit in ruining a perfectly fine skin and I refuse to learn from my mistakes. I tend to over exfoliate more often than I should. The redness, the rawness and the dry patches were handled beautifully by the combination of Vinosource serum and cream. It made the skin soft, fixed the dry patches and rawness. The skin looked plump, healthy and hydrated. Also, layering the cream over the serum was easy. It never pilled nor felt heavy. The cream didn't break me out nor clogged my pores.

Packaging
A simple plastic jar that is vibrant pink in color. Nothing fancy, yet cute.

Final Thoughts
I personally enjoyed the serum and cream combination. Have reviewed the Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst-Quenching Serum in detail here. The cream definitely is on the thick and dense side of the spectrum but it hydrates and nourishes beautifully. I use it as a night cream but I also enjoy using the cream alone as a hydrating face mask hours before an evening out to prepare the skin for makeup application. Works just perfect to even the skin texture! It leaves the skin soft, supple and plump. It soothes the skin and relieves tightness and provides a long lasting comfortable feeling.
