Caudalie is a French, clean skincare brand and I have had amazing success with their Vinoperfect line of products that are specifically designed for Boosting Radiance and fixing uneven skintone. Their Vinosource line which is specially designed to hydrate the skin and calm redness and irritated, sensitive skin and Caudalie gifted me two of their products from this line to try. Vinosource S.O.S Thirst-Quenching Serum and Vinosource S.O.S Intense Moisuturizing Cream
An oil-free serum packed with hyaluronic acid to treat dehydration and irritation.
The serum works on dehydrated, dry, dull, or irritated skin. This serum enables the skin to retain more moisture over time, while instantly soothing any irritation. It helps to calm redness, sunburn, post-procedure rawness, and ultra-dryness.

Ingredients callout
It is formulated without Sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, Triclosan, Triclocarban. All skincare, hair, and makeup brands with the Clean Seal have less than one percent of synthetic fragrances. This product is vegan, non-toxic, cruelty-free, hypoallergenic, safe for sensitive skin and pregnancy, and free of all fillers, synthetic chemicals, gluten, and GMOs.
Color, Texture, Consistency
Opaque white, light weight, not too thick nor too dense runny, watery fluid. The texture is very similar to the Caudalie Vinoperfect serum, which is a holy grail of mine. The ultra-light aqueous texture literally melts on the finger tips.
Scent
As per the description, it is a light fragrance with citrus notes on a refreshing bouquet: mandarin blossom, lemon tree leaves, cucumber water and fresh mint. I love how gorgeously they describe the scents. For me, it has a signature Caudalie scent to it, which is not over powering. It has a subtle, pleasant fragrance.
Application
I use two full pumps worth product and apply it all over my face with finger tips. I follow it with Vinosource S.O.S Intense Moisturizing Cream.
Feel and Effect on the skin
The serum is very light weight fluid and so it spreads very easily. It remains tacky for a minute and then completely sets in without leaving any residue. It feel very light and watery on the skin. The face feels hydrated and nourished. It appears plump and soft. The serum is capable of providing enough moisture and hydration on its own but I follow it with a thick moisturizer from the same Vinosource line.
Packaging
Comes in a simple, heavy glass bottle with a pump dispenser and a cap to protect the dispenser. Functional and elegant, both at the same time.
Final thoughts
The purpose of hydration is to bind water into the skin and the purpose of moisturizing is to prevent that hydration/water from leaving the skin. One of the major ingredients in this serum, Hyaluronic Acid is a fantastic humectant. It draws water to the skin and help prevent moisture loss. I love that the serum is light enough to be worn under makeup during the day time. It did not clog my pores nor it broke me out. Leaves the skin hydrated, soft, supple and plump. No dry patches whatsoever. The S.O.S solution is concentrated in Grape Water to restore suppleness and freshness to dehydrated skin. No wonder they call it a moisturizing bubble.
I am enjoying using it now on my dry skin in warmer months. This will make a good summer serum. In combination with the Vinosource S.O.S Intense Moisturizing Cream, this makes a wonderful skincare routine.
