PETER THOMAS ROTH Peptide 21™ (First Impressions)

I received The NEW Peptide 21™ Collection from PETER THOMAS ROTH as Complimentary products via Brand backer Campaign and I have been testing them. These were a part of my AM and PM routine. They sent me Peptide 21™ Amino Acid Exfoliating Peel Pads, Wrinkle Resist Serum, Lift & Firm Moisturizer. It was good that I got all three products, because it made sense to try everything from one brand and that gave me an idea of how the product works for my skin. Other than the cleanser and eye cream, I used only these to complete my routines. Obviously, these are Anti-aging products, so commenting on their long term benefits will take a while. I will share my mini reviews regarding the products. These are more or less first impressions kind of post because I used it for about 10-12 days both during the AM and PM.

Packaging
The packaging is gorgeous! They are super luxe and heavy. The ceramic packaging of the bottles is a treat for vanity! The dispenser is user friendly and the fact that the jars are opaque is good because that helps preserve the active ingredients in the product.

These are Facial Pads that are formulated to help reduce the look of pores and uneven skin tone.

Texture, Usage and First Impressions
Used this three times a week at night, only because it has a blend of 20% Exfoliating Complex (Phytic Acid, Salicylic Acid and Sodium Lactate) and I didn't want to over exfoliate. I just needed one pad to cover my entire face and neck without the pad actually drying. It is thin but very saturated, with no dripping. I left it on skin for 3-4 minutes as suggested and then rinsed off. I did feel a mild tingling sensation, but it didn't itch or made my skin turn raw and red. This was easiest to review because the results are visible. The peels brightens the skin instantly. The best thing about using exfoliating products is the instant gratification of seeing some change on the skin, if it is positive obviously. No one wants to see redness and rash. These peels did not dry the skin and left them visibly brighten and even toned. Over the course of my usage I noticed visible improvement in the texture of my skin. As far as pores are concerned, I am lucky to not have very visible pores to begin with. So it is difficult to notice any difference in that area. I will continue using these and update this post on the wrinkle and elasticity claim of the product in near future.

Texture, Usage and First Impressions
One of the best things about this serum is the consistency and texture. The cloudy serum is light weight, smooth, thick yet not dense liquid that is easy to spread and absorbs almost instantly within seconds. It leaves the skin tacky for initial 5-7 seconds and then it dries down. The skin feels velvety smooth. The serum itself is very hydrating and moisturizing on its own but I had the moisturizer from the same range to follow. The smell is very pleasant, not floral or herbal but just pleasant. It is not even noticeable after few minutes. The product reminds me of a good primer, that irons out the skin and makes it very even textured. The fine lines appear 'filled' These results are long term or just instant, only time will tell. I have not used it enough to comment on that.

Texture, Usage and First Impressions
The moisturizer is translucent, thick but not heavy or dense. It reminds me of a hydrating gel moisturizer. It is not runny and spreads equally easily on the skin, like the serum. The texture is pretty light weight, so not a lot of product is needed. Just a dime size is enough to cover the face and neck. The moisturizer on its own is pretty moisturizing and hydrating. It absorbs completely, without leaving any greasy residue or shine. It leaves the skin soft, supple and hydrated. 'Velvety Smooth' is the right word to describe it. Again, as far as long term benefits are concerned, I have to use it for few more weeks to review the products thoroughly.
