The claims
Improves skin texture
Evens out skin tone
Blurs Imperfections
Help makeup last longer

It is non-comedogenic and suitable for all skin types

Color
Clear, Transparent with fine gold shimmer particles dispersed through it.

Texture and Consistency
It is a light weight gel with soft, slippery and satiny texture. It is not too heavy or dense but not runny either. The gold shimmers are super fine.

Scent
Very mild and fruity, like mango. I find it very pleasing and the scent dissipates quickly after application. Doesn't lingers on.

Application and Effect on Skin
Less is more with this product. A single pump (or two) is enough for my face. I dot it in the needed areas and spread it gently without rubbing it in. It feels slippery, but blends in smoothly. It does not makes my skin greasy nor does it pills. The skin feels silky and airbrushed. It fills in the pores nicely (i don't have very big pores to begin with) and minimizes the appearance of fine lines. It gives that blurred look but does not make the skin flat matte. The gold shimmers pretty much disappear on application without making the face shimmery or shiny. I let it set for 2-3 minutes before applying any other layer of makeup. The foundation or tinted moisturizer (which I use often) goes on beautifully and evenly.

Packaging
Packaging is stunning! Like every other YVES SAINT LAURENT product, this one is no different. Comes in a heavy, transparent glass bottle with a pump dispenser and a gold cap.

Verdict
I love this primer. It worked for me. I have dry skin and it gives me that air brushed, blurred look without mattifying the skin or making it greasy. It hydrates moderately. While other Blurring primers appear to just sit on top of the skin as a layer, this one blends well and integrates with the skin. The fine shimmer particles are very fine to actually look glittery, but it does make the face glow a bit. I am on fence about this feature though. Once the foundation is on, I am not sure how much of that glow passes through the layer.
My makeup stays on well and does not gets patchy or disappear by end of the day. As far as longevity of the makeup goes, I did not notice anything extra than what my other primers do. It did not break me out nor clogged my pores.

The product claims to even out the skin tone, but I did not notice any difference. For uneven skin tones like mine, to get any color correction, a tinted product is needed. This primer is transparent and the light passes through it. So, other than the glow and healthy looking skin, not much was seen in the color correcting department.

As a primer, I would not say it is the most unique one I have, but it is one of the best I have. It is expensive, so you don't have to rush and buy it ASAP. It is not a must have product, but if you have dry or combination skin and are looking for a good high end, luxury primer, that would give the skin a flawless, smooth and luxe finish the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer ticks all the boxes.

What is your favorite primer, especially the blurring kind?
