BURBERRY Fresh Glow - Luminous Fluid Base

A multi-use product that illuminates the complexion to create a dewy glow. Fresh Glow can make dull skin look radiant. It can be worn alone to give a natural glow or mixed with foundation for a flawless finish.

This 55 percent water-infused primer glides across the skin with incredible ease and hydrates instantly. Its blend of mirror-flat intense reflection pearls help to blur minor imperfections for shimmer-free, youthful-looking luminosity.

It is formulated without
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

I had two deluxe samples of this and as soon as I applied it on my face, I knew I will be buying a full size one.

The BURBERRY Fresh Glow - Luminous Fluid Base comes in two colors.

Nude Radiance No.01, adds a fresh, dewy glow to any skin tone. It is a universal shade.
Golden Radiance No.02 gives skin a warmed tone.

Color:
I have mine in The universal shade, Nude Radiance No.01. It is a light pearly beige fluid.

Texture and Consistency:
Light weight, not too thick or greasy, non slippy as there are no silicones, pearly fluid. It does not contains any huge noticeable chunks of glitter or shimmers and does not separate like the Giorgio Armani Beauty Fluid Sheer

Scent:
It has a light floral scent to it. Like some perfume. It is still not as  strong as the Burberry Powder Foundation though. I don't mind a little scent in my products, but I would always prefer fragrance free makeup. The scent lingers on for good amount of time.

Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base (swatches and review)

Application, Feel and Effect on the skin:
This is a multi purpose product and it can be used in three ways. As a primer, all on its own as a base under makeup. Mixed with foundation and as a highlighter on high points of the face, on top of foundation.
I use it on its own as a base. I just prefer my fingers and dot the product. I apply it all over the face using light strokes. It contains glycerine and others skin conditioning ingredients like rosa canine fruit extract and cassia obtusifolia seed extract, so it feels very moisturizing.

The product spreads easily and is absorbed by the skin. It does not just sits on top of the skin as an extra layer like most of the silicone based primers do. It moisturizes well, but does not provides any coverage, which it is not supposed to. It does not makes the skin look greasy or shimmery. The primer leaves a lovely luminous glow. It does not fill in the pores, but glow imparted gives the illusion of a perfect, well nourished skin. It was easy to apply foundation and tinted moisturizer on top of it with piling. The foundation went on smooth and even.
I also like using this mixed in with tinted moisturizer and sheer foundations as it gives a soft dewy, glow. The finish is just like lit from within glow. It is not at all glittery or sparkly. It makes my skintone more even and better.

Longevity: I enjoy using this more as a luminous moisturizer and as a glowy base for my makeup application. It did not separate nor did ruin my makeup after hours or wear. I also did not notice my makeup staying any longer. It was pretty much the same like other bases in terms of longevity.

Packaging: I love Burberry Packaging. The rectangular container has the lid that covers 3/4th of the bottle. It has the signature Burberry check pattern on it. There is a pump dispenser to dispense the product.

Verdict: This is a beautiful product. It is not too shimmery and it gives a very nice glow to the skin. I have dry skin and I use sheer to medium coverage foundations. Most of the time tinted moisturizers are my choice. So this works for me. I don't think it would work much under heavy and full coverage foundation, simply because most of the glow imparting factor would get lost. Becca Backlight Priming Filter would be more apt under full coverage foundation, because the shimmer levels are intense in it.
