Tatcha Polished Classic Rice Enzyme Powder

Tatcha Polished Classic Rice Enzyme Powder

The Polished Classic Rice Enzyme Powder is a creamy, water-activated exfoliant that polishes skin daily for a radiant finish. Formulated with nourishing Japanese rice bran blended with papaya extracts, it reduces the look of fine lines and addresses uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, and breakouts. Pearl protein extract conditions and balances your skin while natural exfoliants gently polish away dullness and dead skin cells, revealing baby-soft skin

It is formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates. This product is non-sensitizing, non-irritating, cruelty-free, and dermatologist-tested.

Color: White

Texture and Consistency: Light weight, Slightly grainy but not gritty powder

Scent: None

Application: I use this as a second step in my cleansing routine. It is actually meant to be used after removing the makeup with Tatcha Camellia Cleansing Oil. A little goes a long way. Less than quarter of a teaspoon is enough to cover my face. This is a water activated cleanser, so once in contact with water it becomes creamy and lathers up but does not gets too foamy. Just massage it 20-20 seconds on face and then rinse off.

Feel and Effect on the Skin: It gently exfoliates and leaves the skin soft. It also improves the texture of the skin, if used regularly. I did not see any difference with the hyper-pigmentation or the skintone. The cleanser is not a makeup remover. The exfoliation is gentle and did not irritate my skin at all.

Packaging: The packaging is beautiful! It is a sturdy plastic jar, with a small opening, that acts as a dispenser and prevents too much of product from getting dispensed. The whole thing is secured with screw top cap, making it perfect for travel. Mine is the travel size and the packaging is exactly as the full size one. It looks so pretty on my bathroom sink.

Verdict: This is a cleanser and exfoliator rolled in one. It is pretty gentle on the skin and not too abrasive, making it perfect to use everyday. I have dry skin, so it did dry my skin out but then most of these powder cleansers do. Tatcha has mutiple powder cleansers that target all skin types. I have tried only the Classic Version and one that is meant for dry skin (foil sample)
This is a good product, but not new. Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is a similar product that I have used it a lot before. Very recently I used the Farmacy New Day Gentle Exfoliating Grains and it is also a rice powder based exfoliant. Amore Pacific Treatment Enzyme Peel is a water activated peel, more like chemical exfoliant. It is obviously different than these rice powder based cleansers, but it really brightens the skin. I keep purchasing travel size of Tatcha simply because I love the cool container.

Few similar products that I have used in the past
