Shiseido Ibuki Quick Fix Mist

Shiseido Ibuki Quick Fix Mist

A dewy, refreshing gel mist that helps visibly correct shine, dehydration, and day-worn skin while preventing makeup from wearing off or creasing.

Refresh, re-smooth, and re-moisturize with this dewy, refreshing gel mist that is formulated with anti-shine complex to help reveal fresher-looking, smoother skin over time. Exclusive Phyto Target Complex supports skin's natural moisture and helps support skin's resistance to external stressors, while majoram extract helps target dehydration.

The product is non comedogenic and dermatologist tested.

This is one of those, 'not so necessary but I need it' kind of product. I use facial mists or sprays mostly during summers, especially the cooling, hydrating ones. It is just so refreshing to spritz these all over the face. I had picked this Shiseido Ibuki Quick Fix Mist last year around the same time, but never got a chance to review it.

Color: Clear

Texture and Consistency: Non-sticky, light weight, watery gel like consistency. More like facial essence. It looks dense in the bottle, but feels like water when sprayed on face.

Scent: The scent is floral, refreshing and clean. It is delightful!

Application: I hold the bottle about 10 inches from my face and spray it liberally all over. I close my eyes and I do so because I don't want irritated eyes and runny eyeliner. The brand suggests that after spraying, the mist can be blended over the entire face with the hands. I don't do this because I use it after my makeup is done.

Feel and Effect on the Skin: The mist is cooling and absorbs quickly by the skin. It does not stings nor is sticky. The face feels hydrated and nourished. I don't use it as a  makeup setting spray, but it does keep the makeup looking fresh for good amount of time. I have dry skin and the composition of the product has ingredients that would appear more appropriate for someone with oily skin. It didn't dry my face at all, so I assume it would work for everyone.

Packaging: The packaging is deceiving! The bottle is vertically cut in half! It is a regular plastic bottle with a basic nozzle. The nozzle is not fancy. It is just like travel nozzle bottles! It spritz the product OK, though at this price point a better misting spray/fine nozzle is expected. The bottle is tiny, so it is convenient to travel and keep in purse for touch ups.

Verdict: I don't use this as a makeup fixing spray. I prefer the Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray for that. Caudalie Beauty Elixir is a cooling and refreshing product that I had mixed feelings about. I always feel it is a glorified water, but now I love it a lot. It has grown on me. I use this Ibuki one as a  hydrating, re-freshening product. Even though, it is like essence, it goes on light on the skin making it appear smooth and hydrated. The smell is lovely and the cooling effect just adds extra luxury on hot, summery days.
