Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Face Polish

Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Face Polish

A creamy cleansing face scrub. This effective scrub cleanses and exfoliates, removing dead skin cells to leave skin smooth and even-toned. Suitable for all skin types, Face Polish helps remove dead skin cells with purifying microbeads, while emollients soften the skin.

This product is dermatologist tested.

I have been using this product since ages. Long before using all these chemical exfoliators, enzyme face polish and  peels, Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Face Polish and Origins Modern Friction™ Nature’s Gentle Dermabrasion were my go-to high end scrubs.

Color: Salmon Peach

Texture and Consistency: Creamy, slightly gritty with very fine abrasive grains

Scent: It has a faint scent of some fruit. Very refreshing.

Application: I use about dime size product on damp face, not soaking wet and massage it gently in circular motion for about a minute using my finger tips, avoiding the area around the eyes. If needed, I add few drops of water while scrubbing, so as there is enough slip for the product to move around without getting dry and in turn stretching the skin. I rinse it off with water. Make sure to close the eyes and get rid of every single bit of product.

Feel and Effect on the skin: This a very gentle scrub. The exfoliating beads and grains are gritty and abrasive enough to slough off the dead skin, but not super harsh so as to rip off the natural oils from the face, leaving it dry, raw and red. There is no tingling or warming sensation. The face feels super soft, smooth fresh, clean and glowing.

Packaging: Soft squeeze, transparent tube with flip top cap.

Verdict: This is a wonderful product. It is gentle enough to be used everyday. I use it about 3-4 times a week. There are tons of scrubs in the market, but for some reason the abrasiveness of this scrub is just right. It works well for my dry skin. Did not break me out not makes my face look raw and red. A good moisturizer or a serum is recommended to use after any exfoliating treatment. Also, make sure to not let the product get into the eyes, as the gritty particles are irritating and they turn the eye red and uncomfortable for couple of hours. I always go back to this when I am not using chemical exfoliants.

Few other facial scrubs/polish I have used

  1. I hate most scrubs because the little beads tend to get in my eyes but for some reason this one doesn't do that. It's my favorite too!
