Valentia Royal Rose Hydrating Serum is a product that was sent by the company for trying and reviewing. I have dry skin to begin with and with Chicago winters, I thought this was a great time to put this product to test. Also, hydrating and moisturizing products are always welcome for dry skin.
Color: Pearly beige
Texture and Consistency: Light weight, not to thick nor too thin, silky smooth, lotion like consistency
Scent: It is a complex blend of rose scent and something, that I cannot pinpoint. That scent does not lingers on for long though.
Application: I apply just a little more than dime size on clean face, by massaging it in circular motions. It is recommended to use twice a day, but I just use it during the night.
Feel and Effect on Skin: This is a very hydrating and moisturizing serum. It is not at all sticky. The product is completely absorbed within half a minute. Even though it is highly moisturizing, it is not greasy at all. I could easily wear my makeup over it, without my foundation going patchy at all. I did needed to set it with a translucent powder though. The skin feels super soft, silky and smooth. It did not break me out nor clogged the pores.
Packaging: The packaging is simple. Amber colored bottle, with a pump. It dispenses adequate amount of product. Very hygienic and also easy to travel with.
Verdict: This is a good hydrating serum. It does its main job of hydration the best. I did not feel the need to layer the serum with another moisturizer or cream. For me to notice any radiance and improvement in skin tone, it took good two weeks of use. The skin texture though was improved after just few uses. There were no dry patches around the corner of my lips or the forehead, where I usually get if the product in use lacks hydration. The price of this Valentia Royal Rose Hydrating Serum is pretty OK too, considering the fact that serums usually cost a fortune, especially if they are loaded with actual good stuff. The only issue I can point out is the scent. I know many people are sensitive to scents and this is not a fragrance free product.
The Valentia Royal Rose Hydrating Serum is available at Amazon and can also be purchased from their Website.
