Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate (review)

An innovative daily eye concentrate that diminishes the appearance of aging, dark circles, and puffiness.

This innovative cooling formula blends Asian medicine with cutting-edge technology to diminish signs of aging while moisturizing and visibly firming the eye area. The cooling formula also works to reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness and to illuminate and revive the look of tired eyes. It is powered by a proprietary complex that addresses damaging free radicals and help improve elasticity. Black tea ferment (kombucha) is a key ingredient that helps soften, smooth, and brighten the appearance of skin. The concentrate is further optimized by antioxidant-rich noni fruit juice, which is known to retain and increase moisture, improving the appearance of the skin.

Formulated without:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

It is very difficult to actually see the benefits of an eye cream by using it just for few days. I gave this product a solid testing time of almost 6 months plus, took pictures but never reviewed it here on the blog. This was a year back. During the Holidays last year, I got this same Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate in mini size as a part of this kit. I gave the cream to my mom and I saw significant difference with her eye situation.

Color: Beige Cream

Texture and Consistency: Thick, light weight, cream

Scent: It has a very light fragrance. Most of the Fresh skincare products have this similar scent. Difficult to pin point, but it is not over powering at all.

Application: I used it regularly almost every single night. I just dot the eye cream under the eye, moving from inner to outer corner. Using light patting motion, with my ring finger I gently press the product under the eye area. I also take the product up along the orbital bone, gliding in circular motion. It is important not to rub or sweep the product and avoid tugging or pulling of the the skin. Tiniest amount of product is needed. I had tons of product left even after using religiously for 6 months.

Feel and Effect: The cream is very moisturizing. It is light weight and gets absorbed completely. There is no cooling sensation. It did not itch or made my under eye area red or dry. The cream does not stings my eye if it gets inside the eye. The under eye area feels very moisturized and nourished, in turn making concealer application a little easier.

Currently, I don't have puffy eye bags or noticeable wrinkles and crows feet, but I do have some darkness around the eyes. This cream helped more as a moisturizing product for me, to keep the eye area healthy and nourished. As far as dark circles are concerned, I find it difficult to tell, because the darkness fluctuates as per my sleep pattern. For my mom though, this worked wonderfully. It did not completely erase the wrinkles (obviously) but it did make them less noticeable. The lines appeared less deep and the eye area appeared more healthy.

Packaging: This comes in amber colored glass jar, with wide mouth. There is a screw top cap. There is no applicator. I would have preferred this eye cream in a soft squeeze tube.

Verdict: I have been using eye creams as a part of my skincare regime, since long time. More as a preventive measure. Obviously, aging is natural and but premature aging is better to be avoided. A good skincare regime always helps to 'age with grace'. As mentioned above, this did work beautifully for my mom and this makes me believe that it will help me delay the appearance of wrinkles, that will make their presence someday.
A good, gentle eye cream for everyday use.

Currently I am using Amore Pacific TIME RESPONSE Eye Renewal Crème and I hate to admit this, but the insanely expensive creme is super awesome! The results are amazing and I am glad I have two generous sized samples for use (only way I can afford). I will review that one soon.
