New Beauty Products have started making their entry in the new year. I did get chance to see few of these in-store past weekend. These definitely looked pretty but I was not actually in mood to spend a dime on the ones that I saw. A part of it is to do with mind psychology. I have yet to start using the products that I bought during the holidays. Too much makeup (unused makeup) overwhelms me. My personal favorites are colors that come during the Autumn. I find they compliment my skintone better.
Let us have a look at what is New in Beauty.
CHANEL COLLECTION L.A. SUNRISE FOR SPRING has multiple products ranging from Blush, Lip products and Nail Polishes. The two products that caught my eye were the beautiful Blue Nail Polish and the drool worthy Blush. Sunkiss Ribbon Blush is a mix of five different gorgeous shades of pink and coral. It has a ribbon like pattern embossed on it. When I saw it in the store, it looked very vibrant and rich in color. There were fine shimmers, but the blush was very soft and finely milled. It would had been any pink blush, but the touch of coral and orange took it to a whole new level. This would make a great collector product. As much as I 'want' it, I know I don't 'need' it. At $70 a piece, I need to think and think more. It sure is a wonderful product and probably the most popular of the lot.
The Blue Purple Nail Polish in Sunrise Trip is a new formula. It is called Nail Gloss. The SA at the counter said it has a gel/jelly like formula. I applied it on my one nail and it looked beautiful. The color can be duped, well not exactly, but I am sure I can find something similar. As far as the formula goes, it sure is different.
Dior: Dior 'Addict Lip Glow' Color Reviver Balm in a new shade 005 Lilac. It is funny how I always end up 'wanting' to buy it but not buying thinking it would be too pink. Well, now with this new shade, I think I found a better match for my skintone. I didn't get to see this at my Dior counter though.
Glamglow has this new fancy looking tubes displayed at the entrance of Sephora in the 'new product' section. The GLAMGLOW PLUMPRAGEOUS™ Gloss Lip Treatment and GLAMGLOW PLUMPRAGEOUS™ Matte Lip Treatment. It was so difficult to open the tube and when I could manage to open, it was so thick and goopy! The wand is unique and obviously I didn't try it. I never try lip products at store. These are basically lip primers that prepare lips to make them more plump and juicy. As much as I like the sound of it, the texture is something I don't think I am going to enjoy.
Bobbi Brown: Bobbi Brown has this new limited edition release. The Extra Lip Tint. It is like the Dior Addict Lip Glow or Tarte LipSurgence™ skintuitive lip tint. Basically, it is a balm like product that leaves slight tint on application. The product does not mentions anything about color responding to skin’s natural pH to leave the tint, but it does claims to smooth, soften and comfort lips instantly and over time, there are fewer fine lines, fuller lips and zero flakes. Very interesting indeed.
Dior Spring 2016 Glowing Garden Collection has a beautiful embossed flowers on its products. All the 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette, 'Diorskin Nude Air - Glowing Gardens' Illuminating Powder and the 'Diorblush - Glowing Gardens' Vibrant Color Powder Blush have same beautiful pattern. I saw the swatches of the these on Temptalia. The blush looks OK, but the Illuminating powder swatches are amazing! Looking forward to see these in person.
Benefit Cosmetics Shy Beam Matte Liquid Highlighter, a product more affordable than Chanel and Dior. I have used and liked Benefit's Highlighters before. This one has a nail polish like applicator. This a "matte highlighter". Now this is something that is New for me.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Fineliner Ultra-Skinny Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner. This is a new release and reminds me of something similar that Hourglass had released last year. I think it was the 1.5 MM Mechanical gel Liner.
As I type this, I have a bunch of other newer 'New in Beauty' product list already made. The mails from various brands pop up like there is no tomorrow. It is crazy difficult to catch up with the pace of these beauty news, let alone buy and swatch these.
