A collagen-infused, long-wear gel lip pencil.
These gel-based, barely-there colors luxuriously line, define, and shape your lips, creating the perfect lasting canvas for lip color. Designed to work seamlessly with the full spectrum of Le Marc and New Nudes shades, these liners complement every lip color—no matter how light, bright, or bold. Formulated with collagen to help fill in lines and prevent bleeding, this cream gel formula glides on flawlessly for all-day wear.
Other than MAC Cremestick Liner, MAC Lip Pencil and MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Lip Waterproof Lipliner Pencil, I have no other high end lip pencils or lip liners. Most of the drugstore lip liners do the job for me. Jordana Easyliner for Lips Retractable Pencil, RIMMEL LONDON Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner, L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lip Liner are few that I own, though Jordana ones are my absolute favorite from the bunch.
The packaging of the Marc Jacobs Beauty (P) Outliner Longwear Lip Pencil is absolutely lovely! Even though the color is not unique, I splurged on this product all for the packaging!
Color: Prim(rose) 304 - cocoa spice. This is the shade I chose and it is a rosy pink with hint of brown. It is my lip but better kind of color. There are 3 shades in this line and all of them are very wearable nudes.
Texture and Consistency: It is a creamy pencil, but not super soft or super hard. It is also not the most moisturizing, emollient lip pencil. This is decently pigmented and have no shimmers at all. All the other shades had good pigmentation too.
Application: Most of the creamy products need warming up a bit on the back of my hand in Chicago winters. Same is the case with this lip pencil. It glides on smoothly and gives full coverage. I can fill the lips well and it goes on evenly, without looking patchy or dry.
Scent: None detected
Longevity: This lasts on for a really good time. I would say 4-6 hours. Paired with Marc Jacobs Beauty New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel in Roleplay, this looks beautiful on lips.
Packaging: The main reason for the splurge! These twist up pencils look beautiful with a silvery steel body and the colored end on each pencil resembles the color of the pencil inside. So easy to pick if you own all the three!
Verdict: It is a good pencil. Not too hard and dry nor too emollient. The color too is very common. Almost every brand from high end to drugstore has similar color. The twist up pencil is easy to travel with as no sharpener is needed nor any product is wasted on sharpening. There is nothing very UNIQUE about this product that I can pinpoint. I like the product but I won't be buying any more of these. At this price point I can find more color selection from other brands that are equally good.
