Burt's Bees - Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Crème

This was a part of the Tips and Toes kit that I got during the Holidays. Not my absolute favorite from Burt’s Bees. I just find that synthetic Almond smell very bitter and annoying. I honestly never liked that smell as it is even in Almond Biscotti.

Color: Pale Cream Beige

Texture: Smooth, Waxy, Greasy

Consistency: Very Thick, Slightly Sticky Cream

Fragrance: Synthetic Almond Essence (Bitter Smell)

Application: I used a dime size scoop for both hands. It spread OK, but not easily. Later after a mini massage, I put on my fuzzy, gloves from Earth Therapeutics.

Feel on Skin: It felt waxy and sticky. It didn’t sink in right away. I had to actually massage it for about a minute or so for it to spread and sink. It left the hands shiny and greasy.

Effect on Skin: The skin felt soft and smooth, but not super moisturized or extra smooth. Now, as I used it as over night treatment, all covered with hand gloves, the results in the morning were not so bad. The warmth of the gloves pretty much helped me to get decent results.

Verdict: This is a product which I would not want to use as day time hand cream. It is greasy and shiny and does not gets absorbed completely, making it difficult to go back to doing your work after application.
As the name suggests, it is ALMOND MILK and BEE WAX, so obviously I was prepared for something thick and waxy. As an over night treatment, it is an OK product, but I have used better ones from Burt’s and Bees.

The cream is more like multi-purpose product and can be used on elbows or any dry spots or patches on hands and feet as well. The results I got from this product was not any different from what one can get from regular Vaseline or any thick creams.

I personally didn’t like the Almond smell, which was very synthetic and Plastic. Reminded me of Rancid Almond Oil. Its actually awful. A non fragnant product is better any day over these kind of annoying fragrances.

Packaging: This comes in a heavy glass jar, with screw top lid. I like the look of products packed in glass containers. They may not be very hygienic, but I love the old school packaging. It didn’t do much for me and I would choose other Burt Bee’s product over this one anyday.
