Beauty Buys/Haul - Sephora VIB Sale 2016

'BEAUTY BUYS' is just another term coined for the infamous 'HAUL'. It is the list of things I buy, try and the ones you will hear me 'yak', 'blab', 'review' about in next few posts!!! Call this a 'Preview'.

Sephora had their first of the two major sales that they have every year. The Spring Sale saw some amazing releases and launches targeting towards Spring and Summer. A good range of Foundations, Highlighters and Palettes. Not to mention every single brand came out with their version of Color Correcting products. Also some new brands like Milk Makeup, Ouai, The Estée Edit by Estée Lauder entered with unique, interesting products, while some brands like Nude Skincare (that I love so much!) when off the shelves. There was this amazing Sephora Disney Collaboration, that had the cutest packaging!

I personally tried to stay away from Makeup and Palettes, because of the overwhelming amount of the stuff that I already own. I tried my best to ignore that there were some amazing highlighters in the market. Also, I was very selective and picky with skincare. I always try to not rotate more than 3 skincare products of same kind as they have a shelf life, cleansers being an exception.

Goodies I picked

Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector: I was looking for something light and easy to wear for the summer, so I opted for this product. I hope the texture is better than the IT cosmetics CC cream.

Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation: I had got a sample of this for trying, a couple of visits back at Sephora. Loved this product! It is a sheer to medium coverage foundation, more like a better version of tinted moisturizer. This would work so well in Summer and also the color match is perfect! I picked the Shade Suntan.

Shiseido Ibuki Quick Fix Mist: Got a deluxe sample of this product and I liked the way it felt on the skin. With summers coming soon, I know this product won't go waste.

Yves Saint Laurent Volupté Tint-In-Oil: I got few foil samples of this and I enjoyed the nourishment it gave. Also it has no SPF, so no peeling. I don't care much for the color, as my main intention is to use this as a lip treatment. One of the lightest lip oil I have tried so far.

Herbivore Brighten Pineapple Enzyme + Gemstone Instant Glow Mask: I was pretty sure I don't want to buy any masks, but then this one was on my wish list since long time. Also, the Glamglow Brightening mask was not a very great one, so I never picked that one in full size. It is not bad, just not what I was hoping from Glamglow. Excited to see how this new mask performs.

Jack Black Lip Balm: A staple for my son. This is the only lip balm he is ready to apply on his lips. He says it is for the 'guys'. I told him a lip balm is a lip balm, plain or tinted. But I guess the whole Blue and Black packaging along with name makes it more acceptable as a product for him. I don't mind as long as he applies it regularly and not to mention SPF 25 for lips is always good.

Ouai Hair Oil: The brand is pronounced like "WAY" I believe. I ordered this product thinking it was a spray, more like the Dry Oil Spray that I like from Alterna. Turns out it is more on the lines of Bumble and bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil and Josie Maran Argan oil Hair Serum.

Farmacy is a brand of Skincare that is new to me. They have all natural products, that are good for skin with best botanicals and natural oils etc. I was sniffing  this Skin Dew Hydrating Essence Mist & Setting Spray, but then stumbled upon this whole starter kit FARMACY Perennial Picks Skincare Discovery Kit and it was a great way to introduce myself to the brand. All products in this set come nested in a tin tray, giving is such a 'natural, farm feel'. So neat!!

The only 100 point perk sample that I picked was the GLAMGLOW GRAVITYMUD™ Firming Treatment. I picked multiple of these. Great way to try something new.

What were your picks from the Sephora VIB sale?
