I am on to my third jar of this Cream and I never reviewed it. It is one of those products that is just a basic cream, that my family uses everyday and my son loves it. He has very very dry skin.

There are many body butters and skin creams that I have used all my life like the Kiehl's whipped Body Butter, The Body Shop Body Butter, Josie Maran whipped argan oil body butter, Korres Body Butter as well as the usual drug store Eucerin, Cerave etc. While most of them do their job of hydrating the dry skin by providing enough moisture and replenishing the skin with wonderful oils, the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration is loved most by our family because of its texture and consistency. I have Keratosis pilaris (chicken skin), while my son has very dry skin. He does not has eczema, but very crusty skin that appears like drought zone. These conditions are not contagious, but they are just annoying. In winters all of these worsen.

Color: White

Texture and Consistency: Thick, not too dense, light weight, not greasy cream

Scent: None. Fragrance Free.

Application: Just apply directly on dry skin, extremities, face. It is gentle enough to use on face as it does not clogs the pores. Basically anywhere and everywhere as needed. I don't use it on my face because of all the other fancy serums I use, but for my son I use it on his face too.

Feel and Effect on Skin: The cream spreads easily and is absorbed almost instantly. It does not sits on top of the skin. It does not leaves any shiny or oily, greasy residue, which is the best part. It is light weight and does not feels heavy on the skin. It calms the irritated, dry and peeling skin. It does not loses its effect after few hours. I don't need to re-apply it often. Also, with consistent use for a week or so, the knees, elbows and dry, thick areas of skin soften and the texture of the skin is evened out.

Verdict: This is pretty up there in price. A good quality cream like Eucerin, Cerave from the drug store will perform equally good or maybe better if the skin suffers from severe Eczema. It is the light weight and non greasy texture that worked for my family. The texture, consistency and the results were good enough for us that we didn't bother to change. Another plus point is this can be used on the face as well. It does not clogs pores and does not looks shiny. I do keep trying newer stuff all the time, but the family chooses to stick to this one. This is a good cream, but there are cheaper options available that perform equally well.
