Fresh Peony Brightening Night Treatment Mask

Peony Brightening Night Treatment Mask

This is probably the crappiest product I have used in a very long time. Insanely expensive, the product did nothing for me and my face. I love many products from Fresh and recently have been a huge a face of their Fresh Rose Face maskFresh Sugar Face Polish, Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing face oil. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment is good as well, but not my absolute favorite, though I know many who swear by the product. Fresh Soy face cleanser and Fresh Sugar Lip Polish were other duds for me as well. I had high hopes that this product would work, but it was a sad wastage of $$

A powerful overnight treatment formula.

Peony Brightening Night Treatment Mask is proven to lighten the appearance of dark spots, correct uneven skintone, and significantly brighten the complexion. The highly concentrated overnight treatment formula is also proven to replenish and preserve hydration for 24 hours, promote suppleness, and smooth skin texture so you awake to youthful-looking, luminous skin. An exclusive brightening complex derived from peony and licorice root extracts and vitamin C glucoside is proven to reduce and prevent the appearance of dark spots and even skintone, while amino acids help to visibly firm and smooth wrinkles. The formula is further enriched with cucumber extract, notable for its hydrating and calming properties.

Formulated WITHOUT: - Parabens - Sulfates - Phthalates

Color: White

Texture and Consistency: Smooth, non-sticky, thick cream

Scent: Faintly fragrant, pleasant

Usage: Once every alternate night, later once every night

Application: I applied it on clean, bare face with my fingers. Initially, I applied it alternate nights, but later increased the usage to every night.

Feeling on Skin: The cream is good. It is not drying at all. It moisturizes ok and I don't have any stretchy feel later on nor any need to top it over with another moisturizing product.

Effect on skin: This is the part where the product failed for me. Majority of the claims made by the product didn't work on me. There was no brightening of the face nor lightening of the dark spots. It did make my skin feel soft and supple though, so that is one claim that was fulfilled.

Packaging: The packaging is simple and hygienic, with soft squeeze tube and a pump. The pumping mechanism did stuck a couple of times for me though, especially during the end. I still managed to cut open the tube and scoop out the remaining product, which was a lot.

Verdict: I still cannot believe that a product with so many amazing ingredients like Licorice root extract and peony failed to work for me. A major disappointment.  I really wished it worked though.
I still love my Peter Thomas Roth Camu Camu Vitamin C Brightening sleeping Mask (review). The stuff is the bomb!!!
