BIODERMA Sensibio H2O (Cleanser review)

It is almost three weeks of NO BLOGGING! I never knew moving to a new, single family home could be so tiring, overwhelming and expensive!

I did follow the beauty world on Instagram and the most attractive of the lot were the Tom Ford Fall 2014 collection especially the neutral, nude palette, that seems to be always sold out. It is border line annoying when designers make products in such low quantity! I mean being popular and getting sold out quickly is one thing, but to actually trace a product where and when it appeared first and then getting sold out like within seconds is just so lame! I love Limited edition stuff, but Sorry! No time to keep every minute track when the product appears online....

Enough with the whining and rambling.

Anywho, today I will be reviewing a product that probably every single makeup lover uses and uses everyday. Makeup Remover.

Over the years, I have tried multiple types. Makeup removing wipes, Cleansing milks, Cleansing oils, Cream based cleansers, Balms etc. Micellar water or Michelle solution is something that I discovered maybe 2 years ago and I have been religiously using it since then. Just never got a chance to talk about it.

This is exactly like its name! It is like clear water. Same texture, consistency, weight all like water. No greasiness, no stickiness. No mixing of multiple liquids of various viscosity and density. Plain watery solution. As simple as that. No need to rinse and this can be wiped of with a cotton pad or a tissue. The product is soap free and alcohol free.
The Micellar water contains tiny Micelle particles that help remove the makeup or any oil or sebum from the skin. I have no idea what is a Micelle particle. It is just too much science. I got the information from the internet.

Bioderma is a brand of my choice or rather I have never tried Micellar water from any other brand. There are some other companies that sell similar products and I am keen on trying them in future. The one I use is Bioderma Sensibo. This one is specially targeted for Sensitive Skin. The company makes one for Oily Skin (Sebium) and another for Dry/Dehydrated skin (Hydrabio) as well.

The product is amazing! It removes even water proof mascara and is very gentle on the skin and eye. I soak my Shiseido Facial Cotton pads (review) with the product and leave it on my eyes for 30-45 seconds to let the makeup dissolve and leave my skin. Then I wipe it off gently. I do this a couple of times depending on what type of makeup I am wearing, till the cotton pad look cleaner and free of makeup trace.

This one is for sensitive skin and even though it does not dries my skin to the point of feeling stretched, it does feel that my skin could use a coat of moisture. This is fragrance free. I would love to buy the Hydrabio next.

An amazing product, that is loved by all the makeup artists. Easy to travel with. Just need to transfer in a smaller bottle. The only issue is I cannot buy this in a store here in USA. I have to order it online on Amazon. Other french pharmacies that make Micellar water can be purchased from Amazon as well. Avene, La Roche-Posay, Vichy are few that are popular! Similar products that I would love to try can be found at Sephora are from Lancome, Ren, Caudalie and Dior. The last 3 are more Cleansing waters. I assume that they work in similar fashion as micellar water, but are not the same. More research needed here.

Have you tried any other brand of Micellar water? Are they any good? Any suggestions?
