Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil

Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil

A 100 percent pure organic maracuja oil.

This undiluted organic and moisturizing maracuja oil quickly absorbs for firmer, brighter, smoother skin. Pure maracuja oil is rich in vitamin C, so skin appears instantly brighter and more radiant.

The oil is also a source of essential fatty acids (EFAs), a requirement for healthy skin cells that the body cannot produce on its own. EFA deficiency can result in the breakdown of essential skin cells which causes skin to appear dry and aged. By supplementing skin with pure maracuja oil, you are infusing life back into dull skin and replenishing EFAs to rapidly rebuild and repair.

This potent antiaging elixir that has anti-inflammatory benefits promotes active skin recovery and delivers maximum hydration without any greasy or filmy feel.

I am such a Beauty Oil junkie!! It is a must in my book of skincare. No matter what, I just feed my skin with these oils and surprisingly enough, my skin drinks up these oils like crazy.

I have combination to dry skin, leaning more towards the dry end. Also, the crazy weather of Chicago makes it worse in winters. Josie Maran Argan Oil has been my holy grail for quite sometime now and I absolutely love it.

I just wanted to try some other oils and luckily enough the beauty sets I picked recently from Sephora had tons of them to try.

Color: Colorless

Texture: Light weight, slightly greasy (obviously, its oil)

Scent: It has no artificial scent added. A natural, faint, nutty scent of oil is all I can notice. It is not over powering or rancid. Totally bearable.

Usage: Twice daily in the morning and evening for 2 weeks. Later only once a day till I ran out of the two mini bottles I had.

Application: I apply just about 4-5 drops on clean face, massaging them lightly in circular motion on face and using the leftovers on the neck.

Feel on skin: The oil gets absorbed pretty quickly, leaving behind slight sheen of the oil. The oil just does not 'sits' on the skin. It is not greasy like thick vegetable oil. It moisturizes wonderfully. The skin feels soft and nourished.

This oil did not clog pores or broke me out. There were absolutely no bumps. Usually when an oil does not works for me, I get these bumps, never painful, but yet weird looking.

Packaging: The bottle looks pretty. The color is purple and cap has this wooden look with a gold button, that actually is the dropper. The bottle I have is exact miniature replica of the full size one. As much as I love the cuteness, I find the dropper style bit impractical. I mean, I would prefer a regular, simple dropper. This kind of button style droppers become difficult to use if the hands are slippery.

Verdict: I am no new to using oils. So the initial benefits of soft, smooth, nourished as well as healthy looking youthful skin that I get after using this oil is not a surprise. Infact, the oil is 100% pure Maracuja oil and there is no addition of any essential oils. As a result, the benefits that usually are due to essential oils like getting rid of hyper pigmented marks that I have on my skin or the uneven skintone that is also a major issue for me is not taken care of by using this. All the dry patches on skin are gone and the skin definitely glows and shines.

Is this better over Josie Maran Pure Argan Oil?

I think they both worked pretty similar for me. Very initially when I had started with Josie Maran Argan Oil, I had my share of skin issues and the Argan Oil took good care of it. When I stared with Maracuja Oil, I must admit my skin was in pretty good shape. I would not rely completely only on oils for my skincare programe. Serums and Sunscreens are must, but oils are indispensible.

You can try the mini size of Tarte Marcuja Oil  here or even Tarte Bright by Night Skincare Discovery set would be a great way to try two lovely products.

  1. This sounds really good, I often find oils clog my pores as well so this might well be a winner :)
