Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion (Review)

With Summer in full swing … along with Sun, Sand and Beach comes another essential ….

The Sunscreen.

As a skincare routine and complete precaution we all should be using sunscreen all around the year, though I have seen many skipping this step in cooler months.

Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion SPF 55 PA+++

What it is:
A highly nourishing sunscreen lotion for the face and body.

What it is formulated to do:

Prevent sunburn, cell damage, and premature signs of aging with this UVA/UVB-blocking skincare essential. Formulated with rose apple leaf extract, it delivers an excellent antioxidant effect and fortifies skin against UV-caused DNA damage. The sand- and perspiration-proof, water-resistant blend is PABA free.
A fantastic Product, with excellent results.
I am an avid user of sunscreens, because of my issue with hyper pigmentation and so I know if a sunscreen is good, better or Best…
There are multiple good things in this product, which I find missing in some of the other ones that I have tried before.
Consistency: Liquidy
Color: white
Fragrance: Actually lovely, unlike any other I have tried in the past
Texture: Smooth n silky and light weight
Application: Shake the bottel vigourously before using. The product spreads smoothly and blends very easily. It sinks into the skin right away, without leaving the skinsticky or greasy which one of the major issues with all the sunscreens that I have tried in the past. Neutrogena was better in terms of greasiness, but this one just tops.
Effect: It gives a smooth, matte finish without leaving the skin itchy or dry. It does leave the skin bit light or white (in my case). So I have to apply tinted moisturizer or a foundation powder or a bronzer to even the skin tone.
Lasting Power: Lasts for long time and does not stings my eye. The product claims that it retains SPF after 80 minutes of activity in water, though it is difficult to tell if it really does. When I say Long lasting, means it does not wash off within minutes.
The current available product at Sephora is the one with SPF 60 PA +++ and the SA at Sephora told me it was the same product, modified with higher SPF.
An  excellent product for sure. It is pricey considering the cost of other Sunscreens that are available at Drugstore. This is meant to be a face and Body product, but I tend to use this on my face and neck and Neutrogena on my hands and legs just to save some money.
